September 5, 2021What Is Liposuction? (Lipo)
Liposuction in Turkey is characterized by its simplicity and low recovery time; as aesthetic medicine developed, liposuction has become a simple non-surgical procedure, in which the intractable fat, which accumulates in certain areas of the body, is removed by a technique called “Vaser”; Liposuction is not specific to a particular area of the body, for it can be used to remove intractable fat from many areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs and neck.
Liposuction is the best solution for the person to get the ideal body that he/she dreams of and get rid of obesity, for the patient to be completely satisfied with his/her body after the operation.
Techniques Used in Liposuction
Vaser is the most famous and latest of the medical techniques used in liposuction. Vaser technology has made liposuction a simple and fast recovery process, as well as its effectiveness in removing a large amount of intractable fat.
Vaser technology is based on sound waves that break down fat accumulated in different areas of the body, where the fat is removed by a Cannula connected to the tube, which in turn sucks the fat. The Cannula is inserted into the patient’s body by small incisions that the doctor slits before he sucks the fat.
Vaser technology removes sagging from different areas of the body as well as it tightens the areas from which the fat is removed, until the patient gets a slim body without skin sagging, as the goal of liposuction is that the patient gets satisfied with his body in a highly percentage after the operation.
Vaser Technology is distinguished from other techniques used such as Laser Technology in that, it:
- Sucks large amount of fat up to 5 liters.
- Does not hurt nerve fibers as Laser Technology does.
- The level of pain after the operation is low compared to other techniques used in liposuction.
- The amount of blood lost from the body is low compared to ordinary operations of liposuction.

Stages Of Liposuction
Liposuction takes between one to three hours, depending on the patient’s condition, how much fat to be removed and the targeted area; Liposuction consists of four main stages:
Liposuction relies on general anesthesia.
The doctor opens small incisions in the targeted areas to remove fat and the areas where he will sculpt the body; an incision usually does not exceed a third of an inch, the doctor works to hide the incisions as much as possible so as not to leave a clear mark.
The doctor enters the Cannula which is connected to a tube in to middle of fatty accumulations, which in turn head into deeper fatty layers, then the Vaser can break down the fat and pull it through the tube while the patient gets alternative fluids.
The doctor closes the incisions with soluble and removable cosmetic filaments. The threads are often removed after a period of ten days to two weeks.
